Ice on the heads of tesels
A fozen morning near Otmoor in Oxfordshire. Ice crystals decorate the head of a teasel.

A community on a tree trunk
A cold morning in early January in woodland near Otmoor. Clumps of Hypnum cupressiforme moss, rosettes of Platismatia glauca lichen, and patches of golden Trentepohlia algae (tenative identification) decorate the trunks of Oak trees.

Rose Thorns
A vicious thicket of rose thorns snapped on a walk on a freezing day across the Ridgeway near the Uffington White Horse.

A Christmas Day Walk to Otmoor
Without examination by microscope I can't be certain, but possibly the bracket fungus Rigidoporus ulmarius on a willow stump.
